This millimetric EP gathers three Montreal artists, Luar & Flandez accompanied by Ellxandra on vocals, joined by CleS with a remix of Slip.
Step is a chilling track with an atmospheric colour and many concrete hits. The central and powerful groove portrays a rainy day through an abstract prism. The lively nature of the elements and the attention to detail makes this piece original and sometimes even genuinely scary.
The track Slip also takes you to some dark places. It really stands out with ominous piano notes, a kinky groove and indistinct vocals. There is a strong contrast between the origin of the organic elements and the infinite rhythm full of microdetails.
Spät has a real cinematographic and minimalist vibe where you can really picture the ocean. Ellxandra’s voice really adds to the piece that slowly drifts towards a psychedelic sitar background in an impeccable storytelling.
Last but not least, CleS’ remix of Slip is a true drum programming master class with a positive mood that contrasts with the rest of the EP. He brings a fresh interpretation and focuses on singing and drums which gives an acoustic live jazz feeling.

Step est un titre à donner froid dans le dos, avec une couleur atmosphérique et de nombreux hits concrets. Le groove central et puissant dresse le portrait d’un jour de pluie à travers un prisme abstrait. La nature vivante des éléments et le souci du détail rendent ce morceau original et parfois même effrayant.
Le morceau Slip vous transporte également vers des endroits sombres. Il se démarque par des notes de piano inquiétantes, un groove malicieux et un chant indistinct. Il y a un fort contraste entre l’origine des éléments organiques et le rythme sans fin plein de microdétails.
Spät a une véritable ambiance cinématographique et minimaliste dans laquelle on peut vraiment se représenter l’océan. La voix d’Ellxandra ajoute vraiment à la composition qui dérive lentement vers un arrière-plan de sitar psychédélique, avec une narration impeccable.
Enfin, le remix de Slip par CleS est une véritable master class de programmation de batterie avec une ambiance positive qui contraste avec le reste de l’EP. Il apporte une interprétation rafraîchissante et met l’accent sur le chant et la batterie, ce qui procure un sentiment de jazz acoustique live.
